The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on Georgia with amendments, by a vote of 490 in favor and 147 against.

"What the public witnessed in the practically empty chamber of the European Parliament is shameful – Ms. Rasa was speaking to herself," said Davit Matikashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues, in response to yesterday’s debate in the European Parliament regarding Georgia.

No parliamentary committee has summoned or heard any state political official in committee format.

"While you’re chasing after young people and children and taking them for drug testing, start the checks within your own ranks — test Kakha Kaladze, Anri Okhanashvili, and generally the so-called government members. Just see what answers you get. Everyone knows very well that in this country, the ones bringing in drugs — and not just any drugs, but deadly ones — are you. So start the testing from your own circle and leave the kids alone," — said the Chairman of the Political Council of the United National Movement, Levan Khabeishvili.

Guram Macharashvili, an MP from People’s Power, stated to journalists: “If anyone is creating European nihilism in Georgia and insulting European values, unfortunately, it is precisely the European Parliament’s resolution and the EU bureaucracy with its decisions.”
