NATO Parliamentary Assembly President maintains Georgia better than other countries, including some alliance members
14:39 28-05-2017
NATO Parliamentary Assembly President maintains Georgia better than other countries, including some alliance members Georgia is better than other countries, maybe some NATO members, - Paolo Alli, Head of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has said in an exclusive interview with IPN.

According to him, Georgia experiences positive reforms but other factors still need to be taken into consideration.

‘All the countries which have been members of NATO had taken several years of the process, because there is also the issue of how you are integrated with armed forces, you guarantee interoperability, because NATO is not only a political but military alliance. So, I think that your government is well aware that you have something to do also on a military aspect, the government is also conducting reforms in the judiciary sector. I should say that in principal, Georgia is better than other countries. Maybe some of them are still members of NATO. For example, the index of corruption in Georgia is good. We must take into consideration not the Russian influence but interests of everybody including Georgia in this complex political environment. I think it will take some time more but Georgia will become the member of NATO,’ he has said.
