FM assumes US might impose sanctions on persons included in "Otkhozoria- Tatunashvili” list

FM assumes US might impose sanctions on persons included in "Otkhozoria- Tatunashvili” list Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani assumes that the United States may impose sanctions on the persons included in so-called "Otkhozoria- Tatunashvili” list. As Zalkaliani told reporters, it is said in the act supporting Georgia, which has already been initiated.

The Foreign Minister stated about it speaking on the Resolution, which was submitted to the US Congress condemning the recognition of Georgia’s occupied regions by Syria.

"This is a resolution initiated by the members of the US House of Representatives, which has already gained the support of several congressmen and we hope this support will further continue. This is another proof that Georgia's territorial integrity and non-recognition policy is very clear and, in fact, a message to everybody who will try to establish any kind of relations with the occupied territories. We have active support and the recent situation in Georgia’s occupied territories will naturally be one of the key issues during the Prime Minister’s visit.
There is also the act of support to Georgia, which has already been initiated and this is a strong resolution. Some procedures are required to pass this resolution, which deals with "Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili's list" and possible financial restrictions on those people who have included in this list, " FM Zalkaliani said.
