Kaladze – Zurabishvili has possibility to become the first ever above-party, impartial and first woman president in Georgia
16:43 12-09-2018
Kaladze – Zurabishvili has possibility to become the first ever above-party, impartial and first woman president in Georgia Salome Zurabishvili is backed by a great political experience and she has the possibility to become the first ever above-party, impartial and first woman president in the history of Georgia, - Georgian Dream's general secretary Kakha Kaladze said at the meeting between Salome Zurabishvili and voters in Kutaisi, western Georgia.
Kaladze wished Salome Zurabishvili success in the presidential polls and said that she has a full support of the Georgian Dream's political team.
“One of the main tasks of the "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" is the development and strengthening of democratic institutions in the country. We are the team, the party that cares not for its political comfort, but on the health of the ongoing political processes in the country and on the progress of democracy. Our team has a high trust from the people, which is confirmed by the fact that at all levels of the government, the party "Georgian Dream" is represented by majority. Naturally, under such high legitimacy, it is important for us to pursue healthy political processes in the country and in the process of governance, ensure pluralism as much as possible. This is the main motivation and principles, based on which the “Georgian Dream” has not nominated its own candidate in the 2018 presidential election and we think that it is more important the population to vote for above-party, impartial candidate, who will carry out the interests of not any political group, but of the country. Our party considers that Salome Zurabishvili is such a candidate. She is backed by a great political experience and she can become the first ever above-party, impartial and first woman president in the history of Georgia,” Kakha Kaladze said.
