17:50 31-08-2017
All fire zones extinguished in Abastumani forest As Georgia’s Interior Minister Giorgi Mgebrishvili has declared, all fire zones have been extinguished at the Abastumani forest. As he has told IMEDI TV, the manpower is already working out the ground.

‘Even the smoke is not observed. All fire zones are extinguished. We can freely say the fire is contained and now we are working on its liquidation. I would like to thank all that were involved in the process,’ he has said.

According to him the aviation remains at the scene but there is no need it to work. Investigative activities are also underway.
