Gomelauri made a statement at the referral hospital, where he visited the wounded law enforcers.

"Let's wait for the investigation. I cannot tell you their nationalities, or which group they belonged to", - stated Vakhtang Gomelauri.

To a journalist’s question of why the special operation was carried out in a residential building yesterday, Gomelauri replied: "This is a very specific topic. We cannot choose the place of special operation".

"I cannot talk about the criminal act. It is the matter of the investigation. As for the legal assessment, the Prosecutor's Office should make it," said Gomelauri.
