Georgian Embassy in contact with Greek police as eight Georgians were detained –Foreign Ministry The Georgian side stays in contact with Greek police, - Georgia’s Foreign Ministry has informed IPN.

As reported by the ministry, Georgian Embassy has got no official note on detention of 8 Georgians yet.

As the ministry reports, Georgia’s embassy stays in touch with Greek police.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Athens earlier published photos and names of 8 Georgians, detained on robbery charges. As investigation established they pretended to be representatives of Revenue Service and entered at senior citizens’ houses for robbery.

As it has been recently reported, one of the 8 detainees, 19-year-old girl has been released. His family members say she had nothing to do with the criminals’ band.
