President Zurabishvili submits two candidates for CEC member

President Salome Zurabishvili has submitted candidates for a vacant position of the Central Election Commission (CEC) member to the President.

“According to the Article 12, provision 8 of the “Election Code of Georgia”, two candidates – Giorgi Sharabidze and Natia Ioseliani have been selected based on the announced competition for a vacant position of a CEC member after the term of office of CEC member Giorgi Sharabidze was terminated,” the Administration of President said on January 11.

Reportedly, Salome Zurabishvili submitted the candidates to the Parliament on January 10.
