Irakli Kobakhidze: Salome Zurabishvili's presidential activities will strengthen ties between the two countries

“We elected a new President a couple of months ago and this fact is symbolic: not only in Georgia but in the region, a woman has been elected as president for the first, which, in our view, is a very important progress. Our new President also represents the family that emigrated to France after the occupation of the First Republic", - Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, said during his visit to the Republic of France, where he delivered a speech at the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly.

According to him, Salome Zurabishvili's presidential activities will strengthen ties between the two countries.

Kobakhidze emphasized that France was and remains the most important political partner for Georgia.
