Lithuanian PM: We support Georgia in continuing in its reforms and maintain leadership among the EU's eastern partners

The Georgian-Lithuanian relations are exemplary, but we think it is possible to further deepen economic cooperation, - Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Saulius Skvernelis, said at the joint press conference after the meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze.

According to Saulius Skvernelis, at the meeting with PM Mamuka Bakhtadze they talked about the remarkable “startups” of Lithuania.

“In this direction, we have already attracted an investment of 183 million euros and I hope that new opportunities for cooperation of our countries will emerge in this field, too. Cooperation at municipal level is very encouraging. Half of the 60 municipalities in our country have partners in Georgia, " the Lithuanian PM said.

Saulius Skvernelis pointed out that his country supports Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

“We welcome the fact that Georgia's aspiration to join the EU and NATO is stated in the Constitution of Georgia, which entered into force from December. In addition, we support Georgia in continuing its reforms and maintain leadership among the EU's eastern partners. I wish you great success ", - said the Prime Minister of Lithuania.
