No asylum granted to any citizen of Georgia by Iceland in 2018

According to the statistics of Iceland's Immigration Service, none of the citizens of Georgia could be able to receive an asylum in Iceland in 2018.

According to the statistics, in 2018, 84 applications were filed for citizenship by citizens of Georgia, 65 out of which were rejected and 19 were terminated.

It should be noted that in 2018, 43 citizens of Iraq received asylum in Iceland, the highest rate among all countries.

The Iceland Immigration Directorate put Georgia on the list of secure countries in 2017.
