10 years have passed since the Russian-Georgian war and I confirm the unchanging position of the EU in terms of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, - President of the Council of Europe, Donald Tusk said at the meeting with President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili.

He congratulated Salome Zourabichvili on being elected as the President of Georgia and talked about the reforms implemented in Georgia in recent years, which according to him, are important for deepening the Georgia-EU relations.

"The Georgia-EU partnership is perfect. The EU is Georgia's largest trading partner. After enactment of visa liberalization, approximately 300.000 Georgian citizens enjoyed visa liberalization. At today's meeting, I confirmed the EU's willingness to deepen our co-operation within the Association Agreement. The above mentioned agreement brought significant benefits to our citizens. I also welcome Georgia's commitment to reforms. We have agreed on the importance of the rule of law and progress in the judicial system.

I am grateful that Batumi conference will be dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Eastern Partnership and I will be happy to visit Georgia again in July," Donald Tusk said.
