Georgia’s FM meets Sudanese counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan Al Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed.

As InterPressNews was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the ministers expressed their interest to promote cooperation between Georgia and Sudan in various fields, they stressed Georgia's efforts to develop cooperation with Arab states, including Georgia's successful cooperation with the League of Arab States.

“At the meeting the sides discussed international and regional challenges. The Georgian Foreign Minister underlined the current situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and the international community’s important support towards Georgia. The ministers confirmed their mutual support within both bilateral and international cooperation formats, in line with the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity, "the Foreign Ministry reads.
