Roman Gotsiridze, chairperson of the faction National Movement, thinks the President of the National Bank should not continue performing his duties, as he lost trust of the public.
According to Roman Gotsiridze, the National Bank became a sub-agency of the law enforcement agency and it cannot make independent decisions. Roman Gotsiridze also spoke about the quality of independence of the judiciary in the same context at the parliamentary bureau session.
"Everyone knows that there is no court system in Georgia, but significant shareholders of TBC Bank that represent the world's most prominent companies, said in London yesterday that they decided to withdraw a legal case on TBC Bank. This is a verdict against the Georgian judiciary system, indicating that judicial proceedings are useless in Georgia. The TBC Bank case was decided in Bidzina Ivanishvili's glass palace and Mamuka Khazaradze was beaten 100:0 in a criminal dispute.
The President of the National Bank has a 5 years ahead. However, he cannot manage the National Bank of Georgia with this trust and reputation. I was very wrong when I was saying that the National Bank was a department of the government, because it has become one of the sub-agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," said Roman Gotsiridze.
