EU Ambassador to visit Akhmeta, Pankisi

EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell will visit Akhmeta municipality and Pankisi gorge today, - the EU Delegation to Georgia has reported.

The Ambassador will make a speech at the opening of the Village Development Project in Akhmeta municipality. Local development group (LAG) will be set up and various activities will be implemented within the frameworks of the project.

The project is being carried out by the organization "Action Against Hunger" with the support of the EU.

“In the second half of the day, the EU ambassador together with State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and Director of Information Center on NATO and EU Nino Bolkvadze will travel to Pankisi Gorge. Within the frameworks of the visit, they will hold meetings with representatives of local government in Pankisi. In addition, they will visit the public school in Birkiani and meet with the teachers who have recently visited Brussels, "- the EU Delegation to Georgia has reported.
