Civil activist says dozens of Russian military vehicles and armed soldiers are mobilized near Khurvaleti

Dozens of Russian military vehicles and armed soldiers have been mobilized on the territory controlled by us, near the village of Khurvaleti, - civil activist Giga Makarashvili told InterPressNews.

"Dozens of military vehicles entered the part of the village that is under our control. A local lady called us from their; she was absolutely panicked. The locals have often seen Russian soldiers, but this time there are a lot of them. Our law enforcers are mobilized on the central highway. There are a lot of police officers and we are not allowed to enter the village," Giga Makarashvili said.

Information about the presence of masked gunmen on the Georgian-controlled territory has been confirmed by Gori Mayor Konstantine Tavzarashvili. However, the State Security Service of Georgia has denied the reports.
