Irakli Sesiashvili: The military recruitment may fail due to the actions of pseudo-religious organizations

The military recruitment may fail due to the actions of pseudo-religious organizations,- Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili, stated at the plenary session of the Parliament.

"We should not artificially escalate the situation. It was not my aim to discriminate anyone, but it is a sad reality that the military recruitment may fail due to the actions of the pseudo-religious organizations," Sesiashvili said.

"I understand that young people do not like compulsory military service in the 21st century, but this is necessary for our country. We need the system of recruitment and we all understand why we need it.

I confirm my respect for the religious organizations that enjoy this article in an honest manner. However, I want everyone to realize that the recruitment should not fail, the security system should not be endangered," Sesiashvili said and called on all MPs to actively engage in the consultations with religious confessions.
