The government should identify strategic sectors and work with companies and business associations, - Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for Trade, said at the meeting withn the local business sector, which was organized by the EU-Georgia Business Council.

"Investment is important in all countries. Of course, there are certain things that should be done in Georgia, for example, transparency, strong and independent judiciary, as well as the trust in the regulations and rules set forth in the Free Trade Agreement," Cecilia Malmström said.

She also answered a question about the reduced export from Georgia to the EU countries.

"We are not looking at these data every month, but trade between the European Union and Georgia is good and healthy”, she said.
