Georgia’s PM congratulates Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on assuming post of Kazakhstan's president

Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia, has congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on assuming the post of Kazakhstan's president.

As the PM’s Press Office informs, during the telephone conversation held this morning, the Prime Minister Georgia underlined the historic relations existing between the two countries and noted that Georgia regards Kazakhstan as a friendly nation and strong partner of Georgia, thereby stressing the significance of deepened cooperation based on mutual interests.

The phone conversation was related to the prospect of developing mutually beneficial economic relations. Parties welcomed an increased trade volume, which exceeded USD 149 million in 2018. They also noted that current trend of tourism is rather positive.

Prime Minister of Georgia expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the solid support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
