Russian occupants have detained one person in village Shamgona, Zugdidi municipality, the State Security Service of Georgia confirmed to InterPressNews. Reportedly, the Georgian citizen has been detained for “illegal border crossing.”

According to the Security Service, a hotline has been activated and the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) has been informed about the incident. Reports say, the man was detained when he was going fishing.
