Irakli Kobakhidze says “Defend Georgia” will find it difficult to overcome even 3% threshold in parliamentary elections

If you observe the leaders of the "Defend Georgia", it is obvious that this party will find it difficult to overcome even 3% threshold, Chairman of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze said while assessing the political chances of the "Defend Georgia" movement for the 2020 parliamentary elections.

In response to InterPresNews's question, the Chairman of the Parliament noted that the movement has leaders who have "minus percentage", who can not contribute to the development of democratic processes.

Irakli Kobakhidze refrained from naming these leaders, but noted that in this context he meant former members of the "Georgian Dream", too.

“If the opposition field is improved it will improve the Georgian democracy, but no political party can contribute to the development of our country's democratic system with these faces. If you observe the leaders it is obvious that this party will find it difficult to overcome even 3% threshold,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
