The united opposition is holding a rally in front of the Zugdidi district election commission. Demonstrators demand the resignation of Miranda Meskhi, the chairwoman of the district commission.

The opposition had also been demanding the return of lists and seals issued by the district commission, which, according to the Central Election Commission, will be satisfied.

"According to our information, the Central Election Commission issued a decree to return the seals," said Koba Nakopia, one of the leaders of the opposition.
