President believes legitimacy of elections is not questioned

The President of Georgia believes there are no questions regarding the legitimacy of elections, - President's spokesperson Khatia Moisprarishvili said.

According to Khatia Moistsrapishvili, Salome Zourabichvili thinks there were violations in the election process, but they have not influenced the election outcome.

"The President thinks the electoral environment was quite peaceful and democratic and there are no questions regarding the legitimacy of elections. And this is the main thing. She said that recognition of election results is part of democracy and political culture, and we should remind some political parties of it. For example, Vladimir Zelensky's inauguration was attended by former Ukrainian presidents.

The President thinks there were certain violations, but they have not influenced the election outcome. However, on the other hand, it is necessary to study and analyze each of these facts in order to avoid similar violations during the next elections," Khatia Moistsrapishvili said.
