Police detain man, who kept his wife and children locked in house

The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have detained a man, Z.G. (DoB 1983), for keeping his wife and two children locked in house, abusing and threatening them.

As InterPressNews was told at the Interior Ministry, the police was informed that the man locked his wife and children in the house and threatened them with death.

The man did not open the door when the police officers arrived at his house. The police penetrated the house using special equipment and detained Z.G.

An investigation has been launched under Article 126 (I), Article 11(I) and Article 151 of the criminal code of Georgia, involving domestic violence, regular insult, blackmail, humiliation and domestic crime.
