Police detain minor for strangling her baby to death

Police have detained a 16 years old girl, who have strangled her 7-month-old baby to death

InterPressNews was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia that the ministry has already solved the case of murder that took place in Aghaiani village of Kaspi district, the eastern part of Georgia.

“The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained M.Sh. (DoB 2002) for intentional murder.

An investigation has established that M.Sh. escaped from home after strangling her 7-month-old baby to death in the bed late night. The law enforcers detained the offender several hours later. The detainee pleads guilty,” the Internal Affairs Ministry said.

According to the Ministry the young woman faces from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment
