Defense Minister welcomes American bases in Georgia

Georgia has unprecedented and close cooperation with the United States of America, especially in the military sphere, - Defense Minister Levan Izoria told Georgian Service of Voice of America.

The minister commented on the position of President Salome Zourabichvili, who told the Voice of America ​​about the deployment of American bases in Georgia. The Defense Minister refrained from assessing the President's position and noted that he would only welcome American bases in Georgia.

Levan Izoria assessed his visit to America and said that cooperation with the strategic partner was successfull. According to the Defense Minister, a three-year framework agreement will be signed between Georgia and the US at the end of the year, which will deepen the military cooperation.
