The officers of Anti-Corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia and Internal Audit and Monitoring Service under Tbilisi City Hall, as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Giorgi G., the inspector of the service of the safe operation and movement of buses of the “Tbilisi Transport Company” ltd under Tbilisi City Hall on the fact of attempted fraud.

As the State Security Service of Georgia informs, an investigation has established that Giorgi G. promised a citizen of Georgia to appoint him as a conductor in LTD “Tbilisi Transport Company” and in return he demanded and got GEL 700.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of attempted fraud using official authority (Article 19-180, part II, sub-paragraph “B” and Part III, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia that envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.)

The investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
