463 recruits took oath on Independence Day

463 recruits have taken their oaths today in Tbilisi, Zugdidi, Racha, Kartli and Dusheti.

Along with a military orchestra of the National Guard, the ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Defense Forces, who in recent years have achieved success both inside the country and abroad.

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces, received the oath from the recruits

The Georgian national flag-raising ceremony was the part of the oath taking.

The national anthem was also performed. Participants of the ceremony observed a minute of silence in memory of those killed for the independence and territorial integrity of Georgia and in the international peacekeeping missions.
