Security Service detains one person for attempted driving licence exam fraud

The officers of Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained a citizen of Georgia Murman M., for attempted fraud.

An investigation has established that Murman M. promised a citizen that he would receive a driving licence without passing theoretical and practical exams allegedly with the help of his acquaintances at LEPL Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and in return he acquired GEL 800 by deceit.

The investigation is in progress under Article 19-180, paragraph II, subparagraph “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving attempted fraud.

The crime envisages from 4 to 7 years in prison. The investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
