We have heard the fundamentally wrong interpretation of facts; We are proud of our history, Europe is proud of this and we will build a united and strong country together with our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers, - Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said in response to a journalist's question regarding the statements made by the Russian President.
According to the head of the government, the history of Georgia is part of European history and Europeans as well as the world community are aware of this history in detail.
"Unfortunately, we do not hear similar statements based on the fundamentally misinterpreted facts for the first time. Each of us is proud of the history of Georgia. Our history is part of the European history and I assure you that Europeans as well as the world community have very good and detailed knowledge of our history.
Europe is proud of our past, because we are part of the European civilization. Our task is to ensure that the international community has correct information not only about the history, but about our future plans as well, which are very important and simple - Georgia will continue building a state and each citizen living in Georgia - our Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers, as well as ethnic minorities – will take part in this construction.
We are a responsible government and the main task of the government is to protect the national interests and economic interests of its citizens," said Mamuka Bakhtadze.
