Bidzina Ivanishvili, Chairperson of "Georgian Dream" party, does not rule out the possibility that the ruling party may win a majority in parliament in 2020, although he said that "proportional elections implies that none of the parties can win the majority".

As for the possibility of the coalition government, Bidzina Ivanishvili told reporters that the “Georgian Dream” is ready to cooperate with any party except of the “National Movement”.

“Of course, the proportional elections from 2020 means that it will be difficult for any political party, including the “Georgian Dream”, to pass the 50% threshold. In my opinion, it is possible, but not necessary. The proportional system will ensure better more political parties to take responsibility on the governance, before the society,” Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
