Bidzina Ivanishvili : There are no questions about the Interior Minister’s responsibility

There are no questions about the responsibility of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Chairman of the Ruling " Georgian Dream" party, told reporters in Batumi.

According to him, a legitimate force was used against demonstrators during the June 20-21 events.

“Since June 21, the opposition - the “National Movement” and its like minded parties, including the “European Georgia” or small parties, which are associated with it [“National Movement”]- insist resignation of Gakharia [Interior Minister]. There are no any questions about the legitimization of the use of force ether in Washington or in Europe, where these footages were seen. A legitimate force was used that nobody has questions about. If there was any question about legitimization, the issue of responsibility of the Interior Minister would have been raised. There is no such question anywhere – neither in Europe nor by the ambassadors; I know the position of Washington, too. Consequently, there is no question about the responsibility of the Interior Minister,” Ivanishvili said.
