PM Bakhtadze: We increased the funding of infrastructural projects by 20% in 2019

We increased the funding of infrastructural projects by 20% in 2019 and this is the greatest figure we have had for development of the infrastructure in independent Georgia, - Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said today during presentation of the 6-month report of the projects that were funded within the frameworks of the education, infrastructure and village support programs, regional projects and mountain foundations.

As Bakhtadze noted, regional development is the most important priority of the government.

“Strong regions mean strong Georgia, and therefore regional development is the most important priority of our government. 6 months ago I, together with the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, introduced an ambitious plan for 2019. In 2019, we

increased the funding of infrastructural projects by 20% and this is the greatest figure we have had for development of the infrastructure in independent Georgia. It was a very ambitious task and we realized very well that it would have been associated with many challenges," PM Bakhtadze said.
