Deputy FM :  We carry out regular works to increase international pressure on Russia

The situation gets tense at the occupation line periodically, we carry out regular works to increase international pressure on Russia and to prevent such incidents, Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia told InterPressNews.

According to the Deputy Minister, the state is doing to eliminate the consequences of the recent developments along the occupation line as soon as possible.

As for those abducted from the occupation line, Lasha Darsalia says that all mechanisms have been launched to ensure the timely release of Georgian citizens.

“As you know, 7 people were abducted yesterday. Yet another has been abducted. All mechanisms have been launched, the hotline has been activated and we are in a permanent contact with co-chairs. The situation gets tense at the occupation line periodically and this is because of the occupation regime we have on the ground. It is very important for us that the international community is constantly organized and give a relevant response to it. We have seen how our partners have actively responded to these issues in recent days, and one of the key issues at the UN Security Council was the situation along the occupation line. We continue to work to eliminate these incidents as soon as possible. We carry out regular works to increase international pressure on Russia and to prevent such incidents,” Lasha Darsalia said.
