Business Ombudsman, Deputy Business Ombudsman step down

Business Ombudsman Irakli Lekvinadze and Deputy Business Ombudsman Levan Kalandadze are stepping down, - an informed source told InterPressNews.

Levan Kalandadze confirmed his resignation in talks with InterPressNews.

Kalandadze said he and Irakli Lekvinadze filed resignation applications on November 8.

“It was our desire. The press service will comment on the reasons. I categorically rule out any political interference,” Kalandadze said.

According to him, Irakli Lekvinadze and he will likely continue working in the same field.

The Business Ombudsman of Georgia shall be appointed by the Prime Minister.
