Archil Talakvadze: There will be no crisis in the country and elections will be held within the timeframe set by the constitution

There will be no crisis in the country and elections will be held in a democratic and free environment within the timeframe set by the constitution, - Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze said at a news conference at the Georgian Dream central office.

He also called on opponents to refrain from artificially creating a stir.

“The society and our citizens will definitely be able to make their choice in the 2020 elections. Our citizens and our country need a peaceful, stable environment for development. The state is and will be ready to handle any challenge. Of course, there will be no crisis in the country and elections will be held in a democratic and free environment within the timeframe set by the constitution. In light of all this, we urge politicians, our opponents to prepare for a constructive, normal political processes and for the 2020 parliamentary elections, when the Georgian people will decide who the future of the country will be,” Artak Talakvadze said.
