Irakli Chikovani appointed as Prime Minister's Spokesperson

Irakli Chikovani has been appointed as Prime Minister's Spokesperson, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at the cabinet meeting today.

He said the new post would enhance the quality of media and public relations.

“In order to improve the quality of our relations with the media and public, we will have a spokesperson in the Prime Minister's Office. The post will be occupied by Mr. Irakli Chikovani, Prime Minister's Advisor for International Affairs. This is a new position and it will help us establish fast and effective communication between the governmental administration and our citizens and, of course, the media," Giorgi Gakharia said.
