Georgia is controlled by the Parliament, Government and relevant institutions, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated in connection with the statement of Congressman Markwayne Mullin.

As the PM told reporters, Georgia's progress has been recognized by international partners.

"Georgia is controlled by the Parliament, Government and relevant institutions. This is a fact that is appreciated by our international partners, who unanimously point out the steps taken in the process of democratization, especially in the last two weeks," the Prime Minister said.

The comments come a day after Congressman Markwayne Mullin stated that “Bidzina Ivanishvili is an informal ruler of Georgia and an ally of Vladimir Putin”.
