President expresses concern over armed conflict on border between Azerbaijan and Armenia

The President of Georgia expresses concern over the July 12-13 armed conflict on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, - President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili says in a statement issued by the Presidential Administration.

"Today, as we all fight together against an invisible enemy, international solidarity and maintenance of global stability are of paramount importance.

Peace and security in our region are important for the future development and prosperity of Georgia, as well as of our friendly and partner states - Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The President of Georgia hopes that the necessary measures will be taken in a timely manner and further escalation of the situation will be avoided through peaceful negotiations," reads the statement.
