PM: We should remember that today our country is occupied - this is the problem we must solve with peace

As the head of the government pointed out, the people living in their homeland as refugees must return to their homes and live in a united country. PM Gakharia's speech took place at nomination of a majoritarian candidate in Sagarejo, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the beginning of the war in Abkhazia.

"Welcome from a region where they know the price of the fight, the courage and the hospitality. We must start with the fact that today marks 28 years since the beginning of the armed conflict in Sokhumi. Overall, August has been a difficult month for us in recent decades. We should always remember that today our country is occupied. We must always remember and know that this is a problem that, no matter how much it costs us, we must solve through peace, hard work and by building a successful European state. Our IDPs living in their homeland as refugees and must have an opportunity to return to home and live in a united country, but we must do it with a purposeful approach, unity, work and most importantly, peacefully", - stated Gakharia.
