Carl Hartzell: EU is closely monitoring the pre-election environment in Georgia

According to EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell, the EU is closely monitoring the pre-election environment and the information disseminated by politicians and the non-governmental sector.

He praised the fact that the parties signed the Code of Conduct ahead of the elections.

"We are closely monitoring the pre-election situation and listen to the information released by the NGOs and the opposition. We are also cooperating with the government. We are closely monitoring the situation in this area. It was very good that the election code was amended and that the parties signed the code of ethics," Hartzell said.
