Third round of the dialogue between the government and the opposition may take place today

The third round of the dialogue between the government and the opposition may take place today. Irakli Kobakhidze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream, stated about it on November 25, in the Palitranews program "Daily Newsroom".

"Individual meetings have already been held between the ambassadors and the opposition parties, and I suppose that a third round may be held the day after tomorrow", - Irakli Kobakhidze said.

The Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream also explained why only one representative from the ruling team is attending the talks.

"Due to Covid, it was decided that every party has one representative in this discussion. This was also the request of the ambassadors and we took this request into account because of Covid. Each party has one representative and that is enough for the positions of the party to be represented”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

For the record, the second round of the dialogue between the government and the opposition was held on November 14. Negotiations with the involvement of facilitators lasted for 3 hours. The opposition is calling for early parliamentary elections and is waiting for the Georgian Dream to respond to this demand.
