Amiran Gamkrelidze: We should try to vaccinate at least 1 million people next year, if not more

We should try to vaccinate at least about 1 million people next year, if not more, - Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, said in a video address.

"We will get the vaccine which will be approved by the World Health Organization. I'm sure there will be 5-6. At the same time we are working to have certain doses of vaccines earlier in January-February, through the so-called bilateral negotiations with manufacturers, as well as with Western European countries. We are talking about 200-300 thousand doses, we are trying to get these vaccines before the "Covax platform". There is a plan for vaccination in the country, it has been established who should get vaccinated first", - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
