"Ultimately, the responsibility to find the solution to this political crisis is that of Georgia’s political leaders," said Christian Danielsson, Personal Envoy of European Council President Charles Michel, after a meeting between the Georgian Dream and the opposition.

According to him, he will submit a report to the President of the European Council in Brussels.

"Some important progress was made on several aspects of President Michel's 6-point plan - this is welcome and indispensable to address the underlying issues of the crisis. However, on other issues less progress was made. I will return to Brussels this morning and I will report back to President Michel. Ultimately, the responsibility to find the solution to this political crisis is that of Georgia’s political leaders, this is essential for country’s democratic consolidation and its European aspirations”, said Christian Danielsson.

According to him, he hopes that the parties will now seriously assess the situation.

"I hope that the parties will now seriously reflect on the situation and on the way forward, and the necessary willingness to compromise that will commit the successful outcome to this mediation process will become more evident. I truly believe this is what the Georgian people deserve," Danielsson said.
