"These are individuals who are unjustly involved in the country's internal politics, who came to Georgia to mourn their own defeat," is how Georgian Dream MP Irakli Kadagishvili assesses the visit of the chairmen of the foreign relations committees of eight European Union Parliaments to Georgia.
Speaking about the visit of European MPs, Kadagishvili also said that "they are less interested in Georgia and the Georgian people, they have a political goal that they cannot achieve through democratic elections, and they want to blackmail the population of Georgia through terror."
"These individuals are interested political actors, who were directly involved in the pre-election campaign, grossly violating the law, diplomatic rules and the European Charter. Today, when the local branches suffered defeat in the elections, they naturally joined this form of protest.
They know very well why Mikheil Saakashvili is in prison. They also know the decision of the Strasbourg Court. They know very well that the October 26 elections were held under normal circumstances, cleanly, but they have a political interest in having those forces in power with whom they have a direct connection - this interest drives them! The second issue is why these forces want to be in power", said Irakli Kadagishvili.
