Giorgi Kvirikashvili attends celebration of Shuamtoba holiday

Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has attended the celebration of the Shuamtoba holiday in Beshumi, Adjara region. The Prime Minister addressed local population and emphasized the importance of traditions and strengthening of the mountain.

As Giorgi Kvirikashvili said, Beshumi is a very beautiful place and Georgia is proud of it.

The PM talked about the projects being carried out by the government in the high mountainous regions in order to help the local population so that they do not leave the mountain.

“It is very important the unique traditions be maintained and transferred to the next generation. I'm very excited about the fact that so many young people are involved in this celebration.

I would like to emphasize the projects, which are essential for strengthening the region. These are: infrastructure projects, construction of roads and rehabilitation of water, which will be completed by the end of October.

Also very important is the fact that from September, as per the new law, pensioners, teachers, doctors and nurses will get special supplements”, said the PM.
