Gigi Ugulava: The visit to Irakli Okruashvili is pragmatically damaging and morally hard

The visit to Irakli Okruashvili is pragmatically damaging and morally hard, - former Tbilisi Mayor and one of the leaders of European Georgia, Gigi Ugulava, says in a statement posted on social network.

According to him, he is sure that Grigol Vashadze's voters are concerned about the fact that their candidate is trying to get the support of Irakli Okruashvili, who has ties with Russia and participated in the Russian propaganda against Georgia, who was gathering armed people with the assistance of Russian special services and was planning to topple a government.

"I will also add that this statement is aimed at helping the opposition candidate to win elections, since it means the defeat of Salome Zurabishvili, weakens Ivanishvili’s oligarchic regime and creates a chance of democratic development of the country by changing the government through proportional parliamentary elections”, Ugulava said.

According to him, despite the above-mentioned, people should go and vote against the evil.

“How should we act? We should go to polls and vote against the absolute evil. At the same time, we should criticize Girgol Vashadze for this unreasonable step, in order to prevent similar steps in the future”, reads Ugulava’s statement.
