Military serviceman L.B., DoB 1989, was found dead in his own house on November 14. When he was on leave of absence, - the Ministry of Defence told InterPressNews.

In the statement, released on Wednesday evening, the Ministry expresses sorrow over the death of the soldier and says that police has launched an investigation.

“The Ministry of Defence expresses sorrow over the death of the soldier…Khoni district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The Ministry of Defence offers its condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased soldier. The Ministry will cover the funeral costs,” the statement reads.
