MEPs became victims of the propaganda campaign launched by Georgia

Members of the European Parliament became victims of the propaganda campaign launched by Georgia in the context of the use of "soft power" in relation to South Ossetia and Abkhazia, - the de facto foreign ministry of occupied Tskhinvali/ South Ossetia region of Georgia said in a statement on November 15.

Yesterday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the implementation of the Association Agreement by Georgia at the plenary session. The resolution calls on the government of Georgia to extend the benefits of the Association Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement to the population of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia.

“This call in the resolution is clear evidence that the MEPs are poorly aware of the real situation. They became victims of propaganda campaign launched by Georgia, "reads the statement of the de facto foreign ministry.

According to the de-facto authorities, such resolutions are based on propaganda elements and can not have a positive income.
