Epilepsy and Parkinson drugs to be added to Free Medicine Program

Epilepsy and Parkinson drugs will be added to the list of free medicines envisaged by a Free Medicine Program in Georgia, - Davit Sergeenko, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, said on Friday.

According to the minister, the number of drugs that are available to the socially vulnerable, disabled citizens and pensioners for symbolic or halved prices will be increased to 60.

“Cardiovascular diseases medicines will be added, and it is also very important that the drugs for neurological diseases - Epilepsy and Parkinson will also be added. Our goal is to increase the number to at least 60 medicines, " Minister Sergeenko said.
